Playa Viva
Custom treehouse · Hospitality
Located just south of Zihuatanejo, Mexico, this Artistree treehouse resides at an eco-luxe resort called Playa Viva. Inspired by the intense beauty of the Pacific Ocean and the challenge of using sustainably sourced materials, this creation was built entirely with powered hand tools. The treehouse totals 700 sq ft, split between two levels connected by a short walkway. The bedroom was consciously elevated for a superior view of the ocean and to capture the natural sea breeze. The concept was a collaboration between Playa Viva, Design Culture, Artistree — and of course, nature.
