Phoenix House

This tiny house is part of a regenerative, off-grid community compound. It sits at the base of Mauna Loa, which is not only still very active but is also the largest volcano in the world. This 450-square-foot solar-powered tiny home is situated on the 1990 Kalapana lava flow, just four miles from a 100 ft waterfall of lava flowing into the ocean. With rainwater as the water supply, minimalism is the core of its design. From recycled materials to regenerative power, Phoenix House goes beyond sustainability by creating regenerative space for new life to occur.
